Happy Birthday to you...

September 9th is my mother's birthday. 32 years ago on this date, my hubby and I were married. Because the 9th fell in the middle of the week this year, we are having to wait to celebrate until the weekend, both the birthday and the annivarsary. I wanted mama to have something on the date of her birthday, so I made her a card. Even though this type card has been around for a little while, this is my first attempt at making one. I saw this style card for the first time over at SCS. It's called a tri-fold shutter card. I am not sure where it originated. I filed the idea away for a special occasion. Mama's pretty special!

I thought it turned out kinda cute and mama loved it!

Tomorrow's Friday!!! Have a great weekend.

That sure is a beautiful card. I dont do cards since I'm still busy learning scrapbooking but I admire people that are so talented as you are.

I to have filed the tri-fold away for a special use, and have often wondered how I'd decorate it. I love the geometricity of yours.
