ATC's, Cards and Pink Zebra...

Just a quick post with some updates. First off I have been Jamming a little bit with my yahoo group ATC Jams. If you are not familiar with jams, it is really quite simple. One person starts a set of 3 identical jams and sends them to a 2nd person, who "Just Ads More" and then passes them on to a 3rd person and she/he finishes up the set, keeps one for themselves and then sends the 2 back to person #1 to distribute. When a jam leaves you never know what kinda turn it is going to take on it's route...it is ALWAYS fun to see how they finally turn out. They are all little works of art! Sorry for the lighting on the first one...my camera flash would not cooperate.
Next is a couple of cards I made for a yahoo group that I am in called Friends that Scrap. There are about a dozen of us that participate in a birthday club. These 2 are on their way to 2 gals that have birthdays coming up. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the white for the dots and then a little bit of Springtime cardstock from Echo Park along with some ric-rack and ribbon. The button card was a printable I found online at Pinterest...oh, have you found Pinterest??? I have a brand new addiction...you MUST check it out. You can visit my boards right here. The button card is in my file titled "Print It". Anyway...the buttons on the card are from my stash.

Second I wanted to let you know that the first Pink Zebra Home Spring/Summer catalog will be available the first week of February...yaaaay! Here is a sneak peak of some of our new products. These are our new Shimmer Warmers. You have a one time purchase of a base and then you can purchase the different sleeves separately. I think there will be 7 sleeves in all this year...maybe more...who knows...lol.. Here I have wire, metal, bling and cracked glass to share with you. I always have scent samples and catalogs if anyone wants one, just let me know. You can also visit my site at www.pinkzebrahome.com/sprinkles.

Well I am going to close for now, but I will be back later with some more to share.

It's me again....

Well...where did the last 6 months go??? Can you believe that it is already Thanksgiving and Christmas time?? Like I said...where did the last 6 months go???!

Well, I know where part of it went. In my last post I introduced you to my new granddaughter Scarlett. She will be 7 months old the first week of December. I have been enjoying her and the boys very much and not much else is getting done.Did you notice the bling on her little ears?? LOL

Seth the oldest loves his lil sis...Sion isn't so sure...I could not get a good pic of the two boys last year at Christmas, and now I can see 3 will be just about impossible...lol
Seth started kindergarten in August. Oh, I still don't know how that happened! He was so excited! Here are a couple of pics of the first day. He rode the bus...and absolutely loved it...still does. And he made it home just fine...phew...nana worried about him all day...Look at that smile!
Anyway, I did get a little crafting done.

Here are some ATC's that I made for a swap with the Friends_That_Scrap Yahoo group.
I am still jamming with an ATC Jam group...I absolutely love doing these.
I also got some cards made and did a layout for a challenge. The layout is one of Seth when he was 2...he managed to get into a whole stick of butter...a lot went in him...a lot went ON him...
Well that is all for now...I've got more ATC Jams to share, but I have got to get pics first.

Have a great Thanksgiving and I' will talk with you soon!

Fall is in the air....

oh Yes!!!!! I was really getting worried that you would never get here!! I do love Autumn...it's absolutely my favorite time of the year. Even though I am still in shorts and tank tops during the day, there is definitely a little nip in the air in the mornings when I take Jasper out. Love it!!!

I worked on some cards last week for a couple of birthdays and I also completed a journal that I have been wanting to do for quite some time now. The cards (I made 3) were made using the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder and a few trims and flowers that I had in my stash. I thought they turned out kinda cute.

The journal was made using Basic Greys Phoebe paper line. I used Cricut's "Lacy Labels" cartridge from Wal Mart for the label on my journal. The letters are from the Phoebe line and I colored over them with Ranger's Glossy Accents...I just love this stuff...The flowers and heart bling on the cover as well as the ribbon and charms tied to the fiber are from my stash.

Well again I need to run...the grandbabie's are here for the evening, so I had better get some dinner cooked.

I will

Spring Has Sprung...

well sorta...lol

Here in North Florida we have had a pretty nice week. Temps hovered around the low to mid 70's and it has been breezy. I actually worked in my yard a bit, weeding the weed beds...er I mean flower beds. Why is it that freezing temps don't kill weeds???

When the temps crawled out of the 30's and 4o's the grandkids were able to get outside for a bit. They are like most little ones, they enjoy being outside. Be-Pa (Seth could not say Grandpa, now the name has stuck) got the 4-wheeler out and rode the kids around and around and around the yard. They loved it!! Neither one was ready to get off when it was time to put it away.
Here are a couple of pics of the boys I took in Feb. They are growing up so fast! Seth decided he wanted to try and take some pics with Nana's camera...we had alot of feet, butts, legs...of course this is his eye level, but he did manage to get a good picture of Jasper our Shih tzu. He is my constant companion.
I did manage to photograph a card that I made and also a puzzle that I worked on for a swap. It was so much fun. Twelve ladies participated and each in turn received a completed 12 piece puzzle. Each gal picked a theme and colors. This pic is what I made for the other gals. I haven't got a pic of mine yet, will do that later and post it. I also finally started a book of me (BOM). I handmade the cover out of chipboard and decorated it. I am slowly working on the inside. I'll make sure I post some pics. I have been going through some old slides that we inherited from my uncle. Some of these I will make into pics for this book. They are pics of me when I was a baby and we lived in Michigan.

Well, that is all for now, but I will be back soon to update you on what is going on and what I am up to.

Where have I been...?? and Merry Christmas!!

I apologize for being AWOL again, but I have been up to my eyeballs...so to speak. To catch you up...we had a wonderful mini vacation to Blairsville, Ga. the end of October. The color in the North GA mountains was absolutely breathtaking! We had a wonderful time visiting with family and sight-seeing. We got back home the 29th and settled back in here. Halloween evening my daughter Cristy and her hubby took Seth and Sion trick-or-treating at their other grandma's home. When they were in the process of leaving, Cristy stepped and fell in a newly dug up flower bed as she was trying to catch Seth who was jumping off of the steps. She turned her ankle when she fell and Seth's 53 lbs on top of her broke her ankle...BAD!! Every bone...The doctor said that she only see's this kind of ankle injury when people fall from roofs or from auto accidents. So after surgery, 9 screws and 1 plate later, she is s-l-o-w-l-y healing. I quickly became chief cook, bottle washer and babysitter (mama sitter too when Michael is at work). She is now able to put some weight on it, which means no more crutches, wheel chairs and her crawling on the floor to get around. She starts PT after Christmas. Doctor said she might be able to go back to work in February. And on top of all of that I have been working on 3 album orders that I finally finished up Dec 23rd. Folks...I'm tired...!
Anyway I wanted to share some of what I have managed to get done since the end of October.

In the middle of all that was going on I did manage a few swaps. Here is a card and an ATC I did for 2 swaps.
The orange mesh behind the embossed pumpkins is from an onion bag...cool, huh?

I wish all of you Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!! 2010 is going to be a great year!!!

Well I am going to run and enjoy the quietness that is currently in my home right now....think I'll take a nap!

Fall has finally reached North Florida...

Brrr...it was a tad chilly this morning...42 degrees according to the thermometer on the back porch. I LOVE IT!!!!! I know for you northerners 42 is almost hot to you guys, but most Floridians pull out the flannels and jackets (my dh for example) when the temp drops below 70. I guess I am still a northerner at heart, after all I was born in Michigan, but I have been down here a l-o-o-ong time. I just don't like the heat and the ridiculous humidity that Florida is famous for. This weekend we are taking a short vacation up to North GA to the mountains and hopefully see some color. I can hardly wait! I love the mountains...think that is where I am gonna retire...will definitely have to get dh some thicker long-handles to wear...lol
I have been busy scrapbooking and making some things. Figured it was about time that I checked in and showed you what I have been up to. Here are some layouts for the gift albums I am working on:

This past weekend (the 17th) was my parents 56th wedding anniversary. Isn't that amazing??!!Here is a card that I made for them using Basic Grey's Euphoria 6 x 6 paper pad and a stamp from Unity Stamp Co.
Well I had better run and get back to work or I won't have these albums finished by Christmas...AAAACCKKKK...did I say Christmas???? Yep...it is here upon us....
